More Than Just a Test Score

Is your child ready for more challenging English work? Would they benefit from a comprehensive programme or more focused reading and writing practice?

The assessment helps us recommend a class based on your child’s demonstrated abilities. After the test, we will explain their results, recommended class and next steps for learning.

The answers will be assessed using PSLE standardised marking criteria.

The seminar will be conducted during the tests. Join us to learn more from our English teachers

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Is this an admission test or a scholarship test?

Both. The test results will be used to assess students’ English proficiency, recommend suitable programmes, and determine their scholarship eligibility.

Q2: What is the difference between Comprehensive Programs and Specialised Programs?

Comprehensive programmes focus on the systematic development of students’ overall English proficiency, covering listening, speaking, reading, writing, and language skills.
Specialised Programs provide more intensive and advanced training in specific areas, particularly reading or writing.

Q3: What is the expected proficiency level for Elite programs?

Elite programs are designed for students with strong English foundations who are ready for more advanced academic challenges. We will recommend the most suitable program based on each student’s test performance and demonstrated abilities.

Q4: Can K1–K2 students participate in the test?

K1–K2 students will undergo a one-on-one comprehensive English assessment for class placement instead of participating in the P1–P6 group test.

Q5: Can scholarship discounts be combined with multi-subject discounts?

No. Scholarship discounts and multi-subject discounts cannot be stacked. Only the highest applicable discount will be applied.

Q6: If my child qualifies for a 70% fee remission for the Composition Club but also wishes to enrol in a PSLE course, what discount will apply?

The PSLE course will still be offered at a 20% discount (80% of the original fee). Scholarship discounts apply only to the specific course and class type for which the student has qualified. All other courses will remain eligible for the standard 20% discount.
