What are the key skills you need for AMC8?

The AMC8 competition is held by the Mathematical Association of America and is suitable for students who are looking to explore education options in the US. While we have already covered the AMC8 format in a different post, the key skills you need for AMC8 are speed, the ability to solve key topics tested, and secondary school math knowledge.

For primary school students who are particularly skillful at math, the AMC8 can provide an additional platform for them to put their math abilities to the test while creating a strong math olympiad portfolio. But all of these require a certain level of preparation. If you are keen to find out more on how your child can prepare for the 2026 AMC8, please contact our education consultant!
