The first half of each year is the peak period for Math Competitions in Singapore.
More than playing an essential role in the Direct School Admissions, Math Competitions assess students’ learning and attitudes towards math competition.
Here is an overview of the various Math Competitions that will be held over the course of the year:
As the proverbial saying goes, “Rome was not built in a day”. Similarly, achieving good results in competition is not built in a single day. Our experts shared that you have to prepare for competition at least 6 months in advance to prepare adequately for the Math Competition. Think Academy Singapore has coached numerous students, leading them to clinch multiple awards in various competitions.

S-Class Objectives
- Achieve competition readiness: Guide your child to attain high scores in the preliminary rounds and semi-finals. The S-class aims to nurture students into the top 100 students in Singapore.
- Advance Mathematical and Analytical thinking: With more than 10 years of experience under our belt, we have developed a systematic approach to prepare students for Math Competition, enhancing their logical and mathematical reasoning skills.
Class Structure
The S-Class aims to develop students’ abilities, based on Think Academy’s curated learning methodology, taken from the 7 Key Abilities. They will learn observation, imagination, spatial awareness, logical reasoning, abstract generalisation, cognitive ability and creative thinking.
Lower Primary (P1-P3)
Greater emphasis is placed on these 3 areas namely, abstract generalisation, local reasoning and creativity. The lower primary students are most suitable to compete in local and global Math Competitions.
Middle-Upper Primary (P4-P5)
Deep dive into abstract generalisation, spatial awareness, cognitive abilities and creativity by exploring first principle from number theory, space and more.
