1.What is TASMO?
Think Academy Global Math Competition (TASMO) is an online mathematical competition for students aged 5-11, in which children have the chance to sharpen their problem-solving skills in a 1 hour or 1.5 hour math extravaganza. Students can sign up for the competition individually or with a team. A team can consist of up to 3 individuals and will compete based on the following categories: K2-P1, P2-P3, P4-P5.
2.About the awards?
Certificate of participation for all students and Platinum medal for top 5 scorers. Gold for top 8%, Silver for top 9-20%, and Bronze for top 21-40%. Printed certificate are shipped to 40% top students in the test, others will get a digital certificate. Top 10 scorers will represent Singapore in Think Academy’s global competition.
Awards for individual:
Top 3 in each grade: $100 scholarship or prize of equivalent value
Top 4-10 in each grade: $50 scholarship or prize of equivalent value
Medal winners of all grades are invited to participate in the exam and interview selection of the highest class S competition class in Think Academy and can get 50% discount on the tuition fee of the competition class (the maximum discount is S$1200)
Awards for teams:
First(3 people each category, 9 people in total): $500 scholarship or prize of equivalent value per person
Second(3 people each category, 9 people in total): $300 scholarship or prize of equivalent value per person
Third(3 people each category, 9 people in total): $150 scholarship or prize of equivalent value per person

Registration
1. How to sign up?
Click the link and register by paying a fee and filling your information, then you will see the “Registration Successful” page.
2. How to sign up as a team?
Every member signs up respectively, then you can leave a message for the assistant teacher or email customercare@thinkacademy.sg to group a certain team. The only requirement is that team members have to be in the same age group (K2-P1, P2-P3 and/or P4-P5).
3. Who should I contact after I sign up?
Our assistant teacher will contact you within 48 hours after you sign up.
4. How to attend the competition online?
Use PC, tablet or smart phone to access Think Academy Classroom and will receive questions sent by teachers there.
5. Is it possible to win individual and team awards at the same time?
Yes, it is possible for participants to win awards individually and as a team at one time.
6. Can non-Singaporean kids represent Singapore to take the global competition?
Non-Singaporean students who excel in the contest can also represent Singapore in the Think Academy Global Math Competition.

8. Is the competition open to Singaporeans only?
TASMO is an international online mathematics competition, whose participants are mainly from Singapore. It encourages students from world-wide to participate as well. (We offer outstanding students in Singapore admission to our Competition Class.)
Exam Details
1. How will the competition be conducted?
We encourage you to use a PC, iPad or smart phone to access Think Academy Classroom. The competition will be hosted by our teachers there. To download the Think Academy Classroom: thinkacedemy.sg/download.
2. What is the difficulty level of the competition?
The difficulty level of TASMO is similar to that of some popular mathematics competitions in the world. It focuses more on students’ mathematical methods and mathematical thinking and aims to examine seven modules of abilities, namely computing application, graphic cognition, applied practice, abstract generalization, spatial imagination, logical reasoning, and innovative thinking.
3. How many questions are there?
The quantity of questions varies with different exam duration. Basic questions account for 70 points while advanced questions 30. There are 100 points in total.
4. Is there any preparation material or classes?
Yes, there will be preparation materials and classes offered to students. Please stay tuned.
5. Can I change the time if it does not suit me?
No, our competition is held live.
6. Can I get a refund if I cannot attend the competition?
You can get a refund if you cancel the registration before the competition.
7. What is the difficulty level of the competition? Does it require a certain level of math ability?
The difficulty level of TASMO is similar to that of some popular mathematics competitions in the world. It focuses more on students’ mathematical methods and mathematical thinking and examines the seven key abilities, namely computing application, graphic cognition, applied practice, abstract generalization, spatial imagination, logical reasoning, and innovative thinking. It does not have specific requirement in mathematics ability. It aims at testing students’ general level of mathematics ability and encourages pupils who are willing to accept challenge to try!
8. Can my child take the exam for higher grades?
Yes, students can take the exam of their level or higher, but cannot take the exam lower than their actual grade.
